Crawler Toolbar 4.5 Awarded TRUSTe Whitelist Certification

Boca Raton, FL, February 15, 2007 - Crawler Group, a leading free software and searchware company, announced today that Crawler Toolbar 4.5 has been awarded Trusted Download whitelist certification by TRUSTe. Crawler Toolbar 4.5 is among the first to be certified as a TRUSTe Trusted Download; leading the industry with best practices for consumer notice and control. Crawler Toolbar 4.5 is one of only eight programs selected for the inauguration of the newly established industry standard certification. TRUSTe has partnered with AOL, CA, CNET Networks, Microsoft, Verizon and Yahoo! to use the whitelist as a tool to help make business decisions related to advertising, partnering and distributing software products.

The Trusted Download Program certifies that a software application provides users clear and conspicuous notice about advertising, tracking behavior, data collection and other software behaviors. Certified applications also must obtain informed consent prior to download, provide an easy-to-use uninstall and control over software operations.
